Since this is my first embosser, I have nothing with which to compare this product. However, here are a couple of observations:
1. I had to change my order description slightly. Amazon and the seller did an excellent job of responding and addressing these changes. Well done!
2. The product arrived within 3 days. Good.
3. After embossing a few books, I began to inspect the embossing detail more closely. Interestingly, the top-half of the round die stands out very well---good, deep embossing. However, the bottom-half of the embossing is less so. THe detail is less distinct. In fact, you must hold the book page in the correct angle of light to fully read your name.
4. It happens often that you get tiny pcs. of paper wedged into the embossing plates. I would recommend inspecting the plates prior to use. If the plates need cleaning, this can be accomplished by using a small brush, or better yet, compressed air.
Overall, I would say you get a pretty good value for the price. However, as noted above, the embossing detail is slighly less than what I expected. This is a once in a lifetime purchase, so do your homework before you purchase.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas last year. It works nicely to emboss our books. However, it does take some muscle to get it to work.

Not a bad product but I was a little disappointed with the results once you stamp a page. The seal does not imprint well on the top half unless you press really hard and then it tears the bottom half of the seal due to the pressure. Other reviews were really good so I was surprised to find that mine did not measure up to my high expectations. It works better on thicker pages of a book so be careful when imprinting on thin pages.

I ordered two of these for my children just before Christmas. The arrived well before Christmas, they had the correct names/initials and worked well. Thank you for the great product and service.
One note. The Amazon site didn't ask for the personalization information. After I ordered them I looked and found the company that supplied them. They had an online form for the personal information. Maybe I would have received a later e-mail asking for the info. But with it being close to Christmas I didn't want any undue delays. The Amazon site should have info letting the customer know how the personalization information is to be provided.

The Embosser works great. There was a misunderstand about the wording, but the company replaced it immediately, no questions asked. I appreciated that.
